System Log
Track all activities and changes in your Kayse account for transparency and auditing.
What is the System Log?
The System Log records all activities that happen in your Kayse account. It provides a complete audit trail of who did what and when, helping you:
- Track changes made to cases and clients
- Monitor team member activity
- Audit communications sent
- Debug issues or discrepancies
- Maintain compliance records
Accessing the System Log
To view the System Log:
- Go to Settings → System Log
- Browse or search for activities
- Use filters to narrow down results
The System Log is only accessible to Admins. Regular users cannot view the log.
Activity Types
The System Log tracks various types of activities:
Case Activities
- Case created
- Case updated (status, type, assignment, etc.)
- Case deleted
- Case exported
Client Activities
- Client created
- Client updated
- Client merged
- Contact information changed
Communication Activities
- SMS sent/received
- Email sent/received
- Call made/received
- AI call initiated
Team Activities
- User logged in
- User invited
- User role changed
- User removed
Settings Activities
- Settings updated
- Integration connected/disconnected
- Automation created/modified
Filtering the Log
Use filters to find specific activities:
Available Filters

| Date range | Filter by when the activity occurred |
| User | Filter by who performed the action |
| Activity type | Filter by the type of activity |
| Case | Filter by a specific case |
| Client | Filter by a specific client |
Searching
Use the search bar to find activities by keyword. The search looks at activity descriptions and related record names.
Log Entry Details
Each log entry includes:
- Timestamp — When the activity occurred
- User — Who performed the action
- Activity — What action was taken
- Details — Specifics about the change
- Related records — Links to affected cases, clients, etc.
Click on any log entry to see the full details, including before and after values for changes.
Exporting the Log
You can export System Log data for external analysis or compliance purposes.
To Export
- Apply any filters you need
- Click Export
- Choose the format (CSV or Excel)
- Download the file
Exported logs may contain sensitive information. Handle exported data according to your firm's data security policies.
Retention
System Log data is retained according to your plan:
- Standard retention: 90 days
- Extended retention available for compliance needs
