Case Types

Case types let you sort your cases by what kind of matter they are. 📂 Each case type can have its own special settings!

🛠️ Managing Case Types

  1. Go to Settings → Case Types
  2. Click Add Case Type to make a new one
  3. Type in a name (like "Personal Injury" or "Workers' Comp")
  4. Set up the settings you want for this type
  5. Click Save

⚙️ Case Type Settings

For each case type, you can set up these options:

Custom StatusesThe steps a case goes through for this type
Custom FieldsExtra info fields just for this type
Default FormsForms that get added automatically
Default AssignmentsTeam members who get assigned automatically
CategoriesGroups to keep related case types together

🗂️ Case Type Categories

You can group case types into categories to keep things organized:

  1. Go to Settings → Case Types
  2. Click Manage Categories
  3. Create categories (like "Personal Injury" or "Employment")
  4. Put your case types into the right categories
